EA Sports x Iker Casillas | FC24
We are pleased to have led the conceptualization, creative direction & execution of the special collaboration project between EA Sports and football legend Iker Casillas for the launch of FC24. We designed an exclusive Ultimate Team kit, available for a limited time, which includes a special kit, custom designs for screens and stadium tifo, and a matching ball inspired by the constant movement of the game and the passion for football.
The design of this digital package aims to convey a sophisticated and contemporary style, meant to endure over time and offer fans a unique and memorable experience in FC24.
Additionally, to celebrate this launch, 30 special edition boxes have been created, including a physical jersey, the Iker Casillas legend player card, and access to the digital content in FC24. These boxes were sent to various personalities across Latin America and Europe, bringing the passion for football to all corners of the world. COLORS
The use of colors is an unusual combination, where navy blue and bright pink allow the brand to stand out and differentiate itself from the competition, attracting the attention of fans and sparking curiosity about the brand.
The color selection aims to achieve a balance that appeals to both the younger audience, represented by pink, with its irreverence, energy, and passion; as well as to more classic or elegant generations, evoking confidence, professionalism, and loyalty with navy blue.
To enhance the emblem, we have accompanied it with a white outline that creates contrast and references the visual culture of stickers.
OUR JERSEY
The 1K jersey is inspired by various elements that symbolize movement and passion. The lower arrows encourage a growing motion, influenced by the halftone effect, a graphic technique that uses dots to create the illusion of movement and texture. This choice not only enhances the dynamism of the design but also pays homage to the history of art and printing.
Moreover, the colors are inspired by the sunset and are masterfully incorporated into the jersey. The warm and vibrant tones of the sunset convey energy and emotion, reflecting the intensity and passion with which football is lived. These colors also symbolize hope and the promise of a new day, a powerful metaphor for the bright future the team aspires to.
As for the scribble details, they pay special tribute to football legend Iker Casillas. The scribbles represent spontaneity and creativity, characteristics that defined Casillas' unique ability on the field. His unpredictable and passionate playing style left an indelible mark on the world of football and, therefore, on this jersey that carries his legacy.

The function and concept of this jersey design are focused on being authentic and unique both up close and from a distance. Considering that most of the time we see the players from afar, the intention behind the design is to create an impressive and striking gradient effect when viewed from a distance. This effect ensures that the players stand out on the field, even when seen from a considerable distance, where individual details may be lost and the whole becomes a cohesive visual experience.
Up close, the design reveals unique shapes and details that set this jersey apart from other kits. The lines and colors are carefully selected to create distinctive patterns that bring a sense of authenticity and exclusivity. This dual approach allows the jersey to be visually impactful in any situation, ensuring that the players are recognizable and memorable, both up close and from afar.
STADIUM & TIFO
When the team steps onto the field, you'll be backed by the enthusiastic support of fans proudly wearing the team jerseys and waving banners of encouragement. The entire stadium will be a sea of colors and energy, as the fans' passion for the team is clearly displayed. The large stadium screens will enhance this visual spectacle by showcasing the vibrant look of the team, highlighting the striking design of the jerseys.
To add to the electrifying atmosphere, each match will begin with a special tribute. As the players prepare for the game, the fans will unfurl a gigantic tifo featuring the image of the legendary Iker Casillas. This impressive display not only honors a football icon but also unites the supporters and players, creating a powerful sense of community and shared purpose.
The tifo, meticulously designed and executed, will cover a significant portion of the stands, making it an unforgettable sight. This tribute to Casillas, a symbol of excellence and dedication, will serve as an inspiration to both the team and the supporters. It embodies the spirit of the game and the deep connection between the team and its fans.
Overall, the combination of the fans' support, the vibrant visual elements, and the inspirational tifo will create an unforgettable matchday experience, reinforcing the strong bond between the team and its loyal supporters.
TOOTHED BALL
This ball design draws inspiration from the serrated pattern featured in our team's uniform ensemble. The pattern incorporates triangular shapes and a halftone effect, contributing to a striking and innovative impression across various applications. The serrated pattern extends along the ball's central lane, encompassing a 360º wrap-around like an encircling ring. The ball's base is presented in a deep blue shade that enhances the contrast with the pink details. By utilizing the serrated pattern as the central axis, a "X" shape is placed on both sides of the ball. This "X" is generated from a halftone pattern, with the purpose of lending a futuristic and innovative appearance to the ball.
During the match, this "X" figure prompts an association with the point where the ball should be struck, adding an element of play and direction. Between the "X" figure and the central serrated pattern, the logos are positioned. When observing the ball head-on, the Adidas logo is situated on the left, while the 1K Football Club logo is positioned on the right, mirroring the arrangement on the uniform jersey. Both logos will be presented in white to distinctly stand out against the other elements. Despite the design's modernity, a classic ball shape has been chosen as the canvas to embody our creation. This pays homage to the iconic and original design of footballs.
SEEDING
This wooden box, designed and customized exclusively for a special occasion, served as seeding for influencers and close friends of Iker Casillas. It stands out for its vibrant pink stain both inside and out, featuring the die-cut logos of EA Sports FC and Iker Casillas on the top lid, allowing a view of the interior contents through the logos. The inside face of the lid is covered with a methacrylate sheet, providing a premium feel and serving as support for the die-cut logos.
Each of the 30 handcrafted boxes includes a physical badge of Iker Casillas' legend card in the FC24 universe, detailing his statistics as a legendary player. Additionally, it contains the jersey designed for the game, brought into the real world, and an exclusive code to download and install Iker Casillas' kit in the FC24 game, offering recipients unique collectible items and exclusive in-game content.
These boxes were distributed internationally to places like Argentina, Mexico, and Spain, ensuring that recipients received a product in perfect condition. The combination of exclusive design, premium content, and careful distribution reinforces the value and exclusivity of this box, connecting recipients with the FC24 universe and the legend of Iker Casillas in a tangible and memorable way.
