I developed an exclusive product line for the National Archaeological Museum of Madrid, conceived to accompany the temporary Egypt exhibition and remain as a permanent collection in the Museum’s store. The project resulted in two collections inspired by unique pieces from the collection: the lid of a female coffin from Sheikh Abd el-Qurna, dating to the second half of the 21st Dynasty, and a mummy cartonnage probably from Akhmim, dating to the Ptolemaic Period. Based on thorough visual and chromatic research of these works, a contemporary proposal was created that preserves the essence of the originals while transforming them into appealing and versatile products for different audiences.
The project was carried out independently, covering all stages of the process: from concept development and illustration to final artwork preparation and sample review with the supplier. The result was a carefully designed and diverse collection of everyday products —including fans, t-shirts, notebooks, pens, pencils, bottles, mugs, among others— that extend the exhibition experience and connect visitors to the museum through functional and attractive objects.
